We have now forwarded our final payment and trust it has been received by you.
We would like to congratulate your company on the professional manner in which our renovation was completed. All aspects of the process were relatively painless!! In addition, all staff were competent in their job, friendly and helpful. A special mention to Leigh for his proficiency as project manager and Ray for his initial plans and suggestions.
With sincere thanks,
As we sit here enjoying our newly renovated house we wanted to say a sincere thank you to you and your team for the wonderful work you have done for us over the past year.
We approached the renovation with some trepidation, having not done anything like this before and with some concern about all the things you hear about going wrong in projects like this: cost blowouts, delays and difficulties getting exactly the result you originally wanted.
But our experience could not have been better.
From the very first day when we sat down with you to design the work, through the ease of dealing with council, to working with your various staff during construction, to making the final payment right on budget, we have been comforted that we were in the hands of experienced professionals we could trust.
I have said to the many friends and family who have marvelled at our renovation that Wal Robbins Additions gave us exactly what we asked for, but the result is so much more than we expected.
We would especially like to thank:
- Bali and Aimee Reyes, for their advice, guidance and excellent communication throughout the project.
- Dave Stephens, for being an excellent foreman who listened to our requests and ensured what we wanted was done as described and on time.
- Michael Robertson and Troy Burnet, for being terrific carpenters. I can’t imagine that there are better people than these in the business.
- Craig Clarke and Michael Skinner, for being respectful of our home and privacy as they worked on site, for getting things done as promised, for accommodating our special requests, and for keeping us informed as we went along.
- Ben Fielder, whose plumbing solutions were perfect and done thoughtfully, and who didn’t laugh when we requested an outdoor hot water shower for our dog.
- Rob Ashby, whose thoughtful and precise bricklaying perfectly suited our project, and whose creativity made the whole design come together. We never knew bricklaying was such an art.
- Dave Cunico, whose good advice and workmanship gave us exactly the electrical solutions we needed, even when we didn’t know we needed them. (We love all the outdoor lights, Dave!)
- Charlie Ibrahim, whose pride in his tiling and stonework reflected his considerable talent and perfectionism. Millimetre perfect, Charlie!
- Kelvin Jiang, whose wonderful attitude and workmanship made painting the entire house a pleasure rather than a chore.
- Glenn McDonald, whose work resurfacing our outdoor areas provided a perfect – and we mean perfect – result.
- Rob Brown at Styline Kitchens, who gave us a great design and reliable advice about where to spend money and where to stay away from fads and gimmicks. What a pleasure it was to work with him.
- And finally, you, Ray, for setting us on our road to our fabulous new home, and showing us what a wonderful result can come from a little creativity, experience, skill and determination.
We are very happy, and we heartily recommended Wal Robbins Additions to others about to embark on the renovation journey.
Thank you so much.
I must sincerely thank you for yet another personal, efficient and cost-effective service. Your team couldn’t have been more helpful. In particular, Leigh, Aimee and Mick (the handy man) impressed us with their friendliness and the help offered.
To the Wal Robbins team,
I’m writing to thank you all for the wonderful job done for us in Lakemba.
Until I called you, my stress levels were sky high trying to find someone who could plan and build our extension. From the moment I called that stress almost vanished.
Ray seemed to know exactly what we wanted before we told him. From the moment we saw his diagram, and his assurance you would try to match the existing 93 year old house as near as possible, we knew we had chosen the right company to handle the job. The end result is beyond our expectations.
I’d like to thank not only Ray, but Aimee, whose friendly professionalism is a credit to your company. I’d also like to thank all the tradies from the concreters, brickies, carpenters, roofers, tilers, electricians, painters, and plasterers, who I won’t attempt to name as I’d hate to forget anyone.
And a special thank you to David for managing the whole thing. It was an amazing process to watch and given how busy tradies are these days the way David kept things rolling along is a credit to him.
I have to tell you the job is so well done, a couple of times I’ve been disorientated. It’s like living in a resort compared to what we had. A few times I’ve thought “when I go home I will….”, then I realise I am at home. Every visitor we’ve had has commented on what a good job you’ve done. The attention to detail is beyond reproach.
So thank you one and all for making what to me was a big, once in a lifetime project, into one of ease.
Dear Ray and Bali
We would like to take this opportunity to say we are extremely happy with our renovation at 19 Willow St Greystanes. Our two children that are in wheelchairs aged 12 and 10 were so happy to be able to access the front door for the very first time since living in this house the smiles on there faces was so great.
We would like to also say that all your workers were very professional and friendly and very helpful. Everyone we meet is an asset to your company.
And Aimee in your office always very helpful and professional.
David your supervisor was extremely helpful and always happy to answer any questions we had. Very professional and friendly.
Sam the render did an excellent job very professional and took the time to do an excellent job would highly recommend him for future jobs. He gives 110 percent with his work at all times
Ellie your painter did an excellent job also very helpful ,friendly and gives 110 percent with his work we would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a painter
Thanks to Ray also for organising everything at the beginning we wish you every best wish for the future and a Merry Christmas as it approaches very soon.
You did an extension to my house over 10 years ago now. So many people have approached us and commented on the quality of workmanship and the style. We recommend you all the time and I know that you have completed extensions for a few people in the area.
I just wanted to let you know that, after all this time, another lady approached me today asking for your details.
No doubt you will receive a phone call in the near future.
All the best, but more importantly, thank you so much for the extension that you did, it has really enhanced our life, we have no intentions of moving.
Subject: Construction of New Laundry and Removal of an existing Building at the above address by Wal Robbins Additions Pty Ltd.
Attention: Mr Ray Fielder,
Further to completion of the above on 27th July, please pass on our thanks to all those involved.
Their co-operation, good manners and attention to detail at all times resulted in a very satisfying result.
Ray, your assistance and guidance with plans and specifications in the early stages of the contract and personal interest throughout was much appreciated.
Not forgetting the organizing by Leigh on the job and Amy in the office.
This is the second building addition over the years at the above address by Wal Robbins, both with a happy conclusion. We wish you and the company well.
Dear Ray & Bali,
We would like to offer our sincerest thanks and appreciation for the renovation work you recently completed for us at our home in Riverwood.
I can honestly say that even though renovations are a massive interruption to your life it was a pleasure dealing with all the team at Wal Robbins. The fact there were very few problems (and only minor ones at that!) encountered is a testament to the professional standard that you and all your builders adhere to.
I’d like to take my time to thank each and every one that was involved with the job, to the team at Wal Robbins, Aimee who assisted greatly with enquiries and all the red tape processing, Leigh, where do I start with Leigh! an absolute pleasure to deal with and nothing is ever a problem and is always sorted! All the boys that came on site from demo to the odd jobs and final touches; even Leigh picked up the tools there in the end and I can honestly say his work was exemplary.
To David who’s electrical work and attention to detail was spot on and was always a pleasure to have him onsite, Leo and Tony’s plastering was faultless and was at times like having family working onsite thanks boys!; And Fadi & Sam’s rendering, Sam where do I start with Sam, his attention to detail and efforts were above and beyond what I expected, there was no chance of ever matching the existing render; but his time and effort truly did achieve a result that is very close and is of a standard that is not easily noticed. It was a pleasure having you both on site.
Thanks to Andrew the plumber, who clearly had the worst job of all! your efforts are appreciated and even though there was some unfortunate unforeseen work it was all handled with the utmost care and thought.
Finally to the carpenters, Andrew and all the boys from Caswell that were on site, your work, attention to detail, ethic and professionalism is second to none; The deck finish is phenomenal. It’s a constant talking point and looks fantastic we both thank you very much.
Finally if I’ve forgotten anyone either by name or trade it’s by no means deliberate, every day was a pleasure and everyone involved professional kind and courteous and the standard of work reflects this; so thank you to all involved! even with such a “small” job there are so many people involved, and as once discussed with Leigh, even “small” jobs can create “large” problems if not careful or not planned properly; and the smallest job is still a large interruption in your life! but neither was encountered and the interruption is always temporary and less of a hindrance when everyone is so pleasant!
We have no hesitation at anytime in recommending Wal Robbins to anyone for their building or renovation work.
I don’t have many photos at the moment, as there is still a lot for me to complete but I’ve included a couple of the completed deck and pergola for you.
Enclosed please find cheque covering Invoice dated 29/6/15 and final payment owing.
Firstly, I would like to say “thank you” for the lovely wine glasses presented by Dave.
Secondly, I could not be more pleased that your Company handled by building project for me.
The quality of work, regular supervision and always keeping in touch to let me know of any changes to times, etc. The building was finished within the time frame given and to a very high standard; all this much appreciated.
The workers, be they staff or contractors, always hard working, helpful and cheerful. Going beyond the norm, one of the deck installers gave my son, Gerard, some great cars that were surplus to his collection. Simon Hanna, while tiling – to a high standard – had his son put up several rope clothes lines. I had not mentioned this to him, he just saw it would be helpful, especially in wet weather.
A consultant nurse at RPA Hospital, Danielle, at some stage wants to do some alterations to the back of her house. I told her she could not do better than to speak to your company about it and she took details.
So, all in all, I can say, well done “Wal Robbins” and thank you very much!
Hope you are well.
Our renovations are finished and we would just like to thank the Wal Robbins Team for the professional works undertaken.
The team were very obliging and any concerns we had, were dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
We would also like to especially thank Mick for the additional work he has done for us, and would you please pass on our thanks to Ray Fielder.
We would be more than pleased for Ray to visit us at his convenience to view the final outcome. More than happy to make him a cup of coffee.
Once again many thanks
This card comes with many thanks.
Just a small token of appreciation for the work you facilitated on the Meakin St property.
It was a pleasure working with you and your team again.
Dear Ray and the Team at Wal Robbins,
We have been living in our renovated home now for a few months, and would like to thank you and the team at Wal Robbins who worked on our renovation for an excellent job. Everything is as we had planned and we are thoroughly enjoying our first floor addition. The team of tradesmen were great and did everything as we wanted.
A special mention to John Bitter, who with his expertise and advice made our decision easy to go ahead. Sam and Foti of SSWISS rendering, whose work is of a very high standard. Charlie and his team at EXCEL Tiling who took the time out to collaborate with us to give us exactly what we wanted. They did a fantastic job on our two bathrooms and should be highly commended, many thanks to them.
The extra space we now have has made our home more comfortable .We have received many compliments from our family, friends and neighbours on how well it looks.
Again, thanks to all who worked on our addition and we have already started recommending Wal Robbins Additions.
My name is Helen Pontikis and just before Christmas your company completed a renovation and extension on my home in Campsie.
Family and friends tried hard to talk me out of going ahead with this reno, but even I did not imagine it would go as smoothly as it did.
And this happened primarily because of Dave Stephens and his team of contractors.
They did a brilliant job in turning my sad-looking Federation house into a beautiful home.
Dave looks young but is mature beyond his years. Many times he offered me sound advice, advice I knew was genuine and honest and this I really appreciated.
He is a man of integrity and I hope you will look after him as I think he is a great asset to your company.
Every single one of his contractors were gentlemen and always professional, even the neighbours commented on the ‘nice boys’ working on my property.
They were all really helpful and happy to offer their advice when I asked their opinion on various matters.
And so, thanks to Wal Robbins, I have proved everyone wrong – that there is such a thing as a good reno story!
My apologies for the long email but I thought you might like the feedback.
Many thanks, and I wish you and your family all the best for 2014.
Dear Ray, John, Leigh, Casey, Bali, Mick, Craig, Ozzie, Sondra and the team at Wal Robbins
Here’s wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Congratulations on your 50th anniversary.
This second renovation with you was even better than in 2001/02.
You are all professionals and have made our dream a reality.
Thank you so much for all your hard work, professionalism, commitment to quality and focus on the customer.
Our home is testament to your continuing track record.
Our experience with Wal Robbins from start – with John’s practical design to Leigh’s great skill at logistics and management, to Casey and Bali’s skills in administration and estimation and not the least, the wonderful worker bees who were ever cheerful, coupled with the stellar workmanship, was FANTASTIC.
Thank you all so much.
I’m writing to say thanks to you and the Wal Robbins team for our recent renovation. Not only did you produce a great end result, it was also an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Your team did an amazing job throughout the renovation and were all-round fun to have around. As well as being professional and skilled, they often went above and beyond what was expected and helped out in lots of ways that made the process easier.
A few special mentions:
- To ‘Carpenter’ Mick for his work on the gorgeous pergola and for returning time and time again to finish off all the little things from door knobs to dryer exhausts
- To ‘Sadie’ Mick for helping to solve the pergola design and then turning up post‐flu to replace and weld metal posts. And to Apprentice Mick (you really need to hire some people with different names) for supporting the other two Micks through it all
- To Charlie for showing me how to put some muscle into tile cleaning, not to mention his fantastic tiling skills. I’ve since had other tradespeople comment on the quality of his work
- To Dave for helping to solve the laundry design while he was there doing his day job ie: the electrical work
- To Ben who resolved any plumbing issue that came up with a smile
- To the team back at the office – yourself, Bali, Casey and Marian – because nothing was ever a problem
- Last but not least to Leigh for supervising the whole project. He made things happen, solved problems all the way through, got his hands dirty, gave advice freely and made sure things were always finished and delivered as promised. Not to mention, he provided some important extras like teaching me the correct way to kick an AFL ball to my 5 year old son.
Best of luck in the future, I would definitely recommend Wal Robbins to anyone looking for a builder.
